Automatic Backup

With Peachtree Automatic Backup, you set up backups once and Peachtree does the rest. You can easily arrange for backups to occur regularly; Peachtree doesn't even have to be running to back up safely and securely.

Employee Management

Save time and reduce errors by keeping track of your employees' information in Peachtree: hiring data, emergency contacts and performance reviews are just some of the things you can store. Receive alerts for key tasks such as review dates. Everything you need to ensure accuracy is now in one place.

Password Security

Increase the security of your company's data with new customizable password options and let your admin see who is logged in at any time. For example, you may choose to set automatic password expirations or block repeat passwords. Customizing your options and letting users change their own passwords helps save time and money.

Transaction History

Link to the entire chain of events for customer and vendor transactions at any point of the sales or purchase process. Drill down from a purchase order to the purchase or backwards from an invoice to the sales order. Now you'll be able to open multiple companies within Peachtree at the same time without having to re-enter your login information each time you switch. Toggle back and forth between companies easily to complete your work more quickly and efficiently.2

Multiple Contacts

The new "Contacts" tab in the Customers screen allows you to keep track of virtually unlimited contacts for every customer. Track details about each contact, including a new notes field, phone numbers, and email. The new Order Process Workflow system keeps track of all moving parts in your order process so nothing gets missed and everything moves as planned. Have one centralized place to keep track of all statuses, tasks, and parties involved. Automatically send notifications to users once a task is completed to keep the process moving forward.

Multi-user Management (Only in Quantum)

 

Now there's a better way to manage users in Peachtree! Send notifications to other users that they need to log out, or if necessary, an admin can manually log them out of the company.

Multi-Year Reporting

New General Ledger reports and Financial Statements functionality allows you to report on data outside of two open years, while retaining the control to lock down prior years and purged data. This access will allow you to compare budgets and financial results across multiple years, and drill down to the details. Use this new functionality with existing capabilities on transaction reports, to get improved trending analysis, better research, and more accurate forecasts.

Cash Flow Management

Now you can view your current cash status easier than ever before. With an improved cash management tool, you can easily see how much money is coming in and going out, so you always know how your business is performing. Access to a full payroll management tool for your business is available, with set-up improvements and expanded offerings for benefits and deductions. These expanded feature improvements offer you a better way to account for items that you need to effectively manage your business.

Real Time Alerts

Experience real-time notifications whenever a non-standard AP and AR account is entered into a transaction. And you will be alerted when a non-cash account is entered into a cash account field in receipts or payments. Now the ability to catch and correct potential accounting errors is easier than ever. Also, when working in a multi-user environment, each workstation will be automatically be notified that a tax update has occurred.

Improved Performance

Now you can get up and going faster. Quickly open companies within Peachtree to access information. As well, minimize the amount of down-time caused by users being blocked out of screens in a multi-user environment.

Forms Design Improvements

You now have a more flexible way to customize forms such as invoices, sales orders or quotes for a more professional representation of their business. Improvements include the ability to add fields, colors, logos and other information with a new, simple design screen and to modify the layout of our forms more easily. With Peachtree 2008, you can also turn on and off fields on task screens and Peachtree will automatically change the printed form .

Enhanced Report Options

Add additional fields to the 19 key reports making it easier to locate key information. And the redesigned screens make it much easier to filter and sort your reports. These changes can be found in some of the most frequently used reports, such as the General Ledger, Account Reconciliation Report, Check Register and Aged Receivables and Payables reports and more!

Add Attachments

Store files in Peachtree records, such as customers, vendors, employees and inventory items. All types of files are supported, including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or Word files, photographs or scanned documents.

Flexible Unit and Quantity Decimal Settings

If you manage inventory in your business, you can now set up Peachtree so that you have different decimal setting requirements for units and for quantities. For either the unit or the quantity, you can select the number of decimal places up 5 places!

Saving Records and Transactions Performance5

Experience drastically reduced transaction and record save times when reports are open. Now, saving a transaction can go from 10 seconds to less than a third of a second. Invoices, checks, sales orders, inventory items etc. all save faster when you’re working with reports and screens at the same time!

Filter Reports Using Custom Fields

Selected standard and custom reports can now be filtered using custom fields to allow you to run more meaningful reports categorized in ways more useful to their business.

Enhanced Technology

The underlying framework for Peachtree includes a new database to better meet the needs of growing businesses. The new database provides improvements when opening windows and saving transactions and multi-user environments will see a reduction in "lock-ups".

Multi-Tasking Screens

Peachtree windows now open separately and are no longer confined within the application so that you can locate Peachtree screens anywhere on the desktop to improve the ability to multi-task with other applications.

Easy Access to Lists

At-a-glance find, view, drill down, print and e-mail information and records easier and quicker. You can view key information records all at once with lists, the ability to sort and search on lists on customers & vendors as well as transactions such as invoices and payments.
